Post Graffiti.

(New York): Sidney Janis Gallery, 1983. Landmark graffiti exhibition catalogue, taking graffiti from the streets and subways and attempting to make it blue chip. The exhibition took place almost twenty years to the day that Janis had mounted the show that help legitimize ‘Pop Art’ (which so irked his abstract expressionists that several subsequently left the gallery). There were 19 artists in the show, including Basquiat, Haring, Lady Pink, Rammellzee, A-One, Daze, Crash, Futura 20 and Toxic. The 20 page catalogue, illustrates in black and white 17 of the 36 artworks from the show. Catalogue with front cover designed by Crash and Daze, and the rear cover by Crash, is in very good condition.
